Welcome to my Teaching Portfolio, dedicated to showcasing my work as an educator & teaching artist!
Through my work as a theatre and acting teacher, I strive to inspire curiosity, foster lasting relationships, and create spaces where students feel they can be taken seriously as young artists and people. Over the past two years, I have worked with Barrington Stage Company, Wheelock Family Theater, and Boston Public Schools as an emerging teaching artist and professional, instructing students from ages 7-18 on various acting methods, musical theatre performance, improv, devising, playwriting, theatre for young audiences, and theatre for social change. My classroom is a place of honesty, curiosity, and compassion.

Teaching Portfolio
In the spring of 2025, I had the privilege of student teaching at Brookline High School under Mark Vanderzee and Elena Maimonis. One of the advanced drama classes, Theatre for Social Change, culminated in an original work, written, produced, and performed by the students each quarter. I directed their April show, The Daily Grind, which explored what it means to be a part of a community and what keeps us from connecting with one another. Vanderzee and I integrated lessons on devising, tableaux, and documentary theatre, all of which were implemented into a final performance & talk back.
THE DAILY GRIND
“As has been clear from day 1, Grace has tapped into the existing culture of the classroom, has run with what is already working well and has added her unique perspectives when it makes sense. One student told me following the class that "I feel like I know Grace so well. I love her." This is just one example of the space that Grace has inhabited and helped to create with and for students.”

TESTIMONIALS
“Grace has been an exceptional teacher, demonstrating talent and positivity while engaging a class and furthering our understanding”
-11th Grade Student
“Grace builds on students’ strengths, interests, cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and prior knowledge From top to bottom. In this lesson, Grace built a strong foundation so students would be enabled and encouraged to reach for each risk she introduced. Examples include: Adding a new challenge to each round of Pass the Energy, building in opportunities for students to reflect with her and the class on their understanding and takeaways from each activity to help foster an environment where students are ready and empowered to take the next risk.”
-Donna Wresinski, Supervising Practitioner
“Grace has an amazing energy! [her] games are very helpful and bonding and I appreciate how succinct [she is] to give us time to practice!”
